Recovery Act

A lot of debate over whether Obama is going to come through with his promises.  Read what Time said about the Recovery Act.  You may not be aware of everything that he really has been trying to get accomplished since the very beginning.  Perhaps if we support more, more will actually get accomplished and stay active after he is gone.

Shaklee

Shaklee has been helping people go green and healthy for over 30 years. With the new movement toward green they are still pushing strong, as evidenced by Wheaton's Schaumburg-based company, Green Lady Cleaning, show cased on Huffington Post today.  He uses Shaklee Corp.'s plant-based, toxin-free cleaning products. This, he said, sets it apart from its competitors and is thriving in a down turned economy where most home cleaning services are failing.

My Mother introduced our family to Shaklee over 20 years ago and it has helped us to a more sustainable home life.  Find out more at http://homesustainable.com/2010/10/shaklee

Diaper Debate

The debate between Cloth or Disposable Diapers has come to an end.  After weighing the energy of production, use, and reduction...the verdict is...

In 2005, the U.K Environmental Agency attempted to settle the question once and for all. The verdict? It doesn't matter. No really, it doesn't. Both manufacturers and parents could do more to reduce their ecological impact, but the choice between cloth and disposable is one of personal preference.

Dead garden

I empathized with this post today...
Top 10 Rookie Gardening Mistakes (And How to Avoid Them) But beginner's mistakes can be especially disheartening. There's nothing worse than just getting started in a new hobby and watching everything you're trying to grow just sit there pathetically when you dreamed of ripe juicy tomatoes and a garden full ...

3 months ago, we embarked on our quest to be more sustainable and live healthier.  We dreamed of a great garden and had the entire thing wiped out in one night by 4 inch yellow grasshoppers.  :(  ...read more about our "Dead garden"

$1 for being Forgetfull

Brownsville Texas To Charge $1 For Plastic Bags

Trendy California recently rejected a ban on plastic shopping bags, but Brownsville, Texas, is moving ahead with such a ban next year. It recently agreed to allow shoppers who forget to bring reusable bags to buy plastic ones -- for an extra dollar.

That's one way to make your Home Sustainable.

'Poo-Powered' Vans Promote Sustainable Driving In UK

"Poo-powered" vans will soon be seen on the streets of Sheffield in an attempt by the city council to encourage sustainable motoring.

The six vans run on biogas generated from the raw sewage treatment process.

You may not want to run your car on "poo", but there are plenty of other lowering expense tips on the HomeSustainable.com site and you can join for Free.

Our Government

Why does it seem to me that our government is more concerned with things outside the United States? I read today that they are concerned with some sustainable issues in another country, yet ours is one of the least sustainable countries.  ...?...  Mr. President, please reference HomeSustainable.com

One Stop Marketing

I am all for raising humanities consciousness, and I KNOW that when I am looking for something, it really seems to come to me from all directions.
I have been meditating with this new CD system that will blow your socks off.  You can click this link http://www.centerpointe.com/?aid=372432 and get a FREE demo CD sent to you to try it out.  You really will be amazed if you are into meditation or have been wanting to get into it.  I tried many times in the past to be devoted to it, although it just seem so difficult to shut out all the thoughts and "clear your mind".  This CD though, after just one time of using the Demo...I was blown away.  It puts you into a meditative state within minutes with the holosync technology and all the chatter in my head doesn't even matter, in fact they encourage you to let those flow.
Today, I got another enlightenment tip at http://www.loveorabove.com/lp  It seems like some really good information that I have heard a little about.  I just downloaded the FREE file and will read up on it more.  They do mention on one of the posts on her page that if it is something that you are supposed to have...it will come to you.

Just thought I would help spread some more Enlightenment.  :)

New Website

It's definitely Greener to have an on-line business vs. a traditional one.  Greatly reduced overhead and mostly automated systems these days.  Some people feel that the on-line version is pretty simple and not much to worry about.  Especially when all they have to do is tell their Web Designer what to do and it's easily completed.  I beg to differ some days.

As a Web Designer who has worked at Green Castle Adventures for over two years now, I am pretty versed in setting up AND marketing sites.  I have come upon a great software designer, JROX that provides the perfect cooperative software to build the biggest sites.

Our new site HomeSustainable.com is well underway and closing in on completion...or so I thought.  This morning I opened my browser to find a not-so-lovely surprise. ...my newly completed site had crashed!  AHHH!

Give your Web Designers a break when they take a little longer than you might feel is necessary to complete the task...sometimes an on-line location has it's days of difficulty too.

Home Sustainability

Ok, so this Jenn FitzGerald is definitely on the Green Track.  I haven't posted here for a while, but I think I will start using this one solely for everything.  I get so lost in all my blogs.  Each set up for a different site.  As an internet marketer I am tasked to make one for each customer.
Now it's for myself though.  I have made a few for my sites, and from now on, they will reside here.

On to the Greener side....

Author Glenn Croston and myself have been working together for a time now.  We put together the EZGreenBiz.com site, to help people in business.  Now, we have just launched the HomeSustainable.com site.

I have high hopes for this new site already.  We are already generating traffic prior to the official launch and getting some really good feedback.

Signing up on the home page will give you information on how to start cutting your budget...for FREE!  Yes, that's right, you can get the first Step in, what we are calling The Challenge, absolutely Free.  No strings attached.

We are confident however that you WILL want to continue.  The first Step lays out how you can save a few hundred dollars with 3 simple things you can do.  And, over the course of the 8-week Challenge, you will learn how to do enough simple little things that can literally cut your budget by 1-2-...even $5000!

Wow!  You say.  Is that really real?  You wonder.

Yes, these are hard proven facts.  Complete the Challenge and you could WIN $1000s, well maybe not win, but you would definitely Shave that off your budget.

So, check it out.  Like I said, it's Absolutely Free to sign up.  Visit HomeSustainable.com
